Scoot to Transit in Seattle and Earn Discounts and Free Tickets!
Scoot to transit this winter in Seattle with Superpedestrian, and you could earn ride discounts and free tickets on the Transit GO Ticket app!
King County Metro is now running a pilot program in Seattle called Bike & Scoot to Transit, which gives riders discounts and free trips when they use shared bikes or scooters to connect with public transportation. All you have to do is end your scooter trip in the special parking zones near transit to earn benefits.
We are loving this program, since we know that scooters and transit go together like peanut butter and jelly, Bert and Ernie, or eggs and bacon!
Find a special parking zone
To earn discounts and free tickets, just park at a qualifying transit hub. These parking areas are shown in the Superpedestrian app - look for the green Preferred Parking hubs with an $8 value.
Earn up to $8 discount for qualifying scooter trips
Park in one of the qualifying parking areas near transit. Look out for one of the 15 special green parking zones in the app. You’ll know you’re in the right place when you tap on the zone on the map and see the $8 incentive.
You’ll automatically get a wallet bonus of up to $8 in the Superpedestrian app for your next scooter ride.
Free transit tickets on the Transit GO Ticket app once a week
Park in one of the qualifying zones, and you’ll also get free transit tickets. Look out for an email from Superpedestrian at the end of the week with unique links for free transit tickets on the Transit GO App.
Tickets include King County Metro, Light Rail, and Sound Transit. Just click the link you want and it will put your ticket in your cart free of charge in the Transit GO app.
